Great tasting traditional pub food and local real ales
We serve traditional pub food prepared and cooked at the Yew Tree Inn Chalvington, from locally sourced ingredients whenever we can. For example, a lot of our meat, particularly our beef and turkey, is supplied by Mark Thomas, who has a 1000 acre farm just down the road.
We change our menu on a regular basis, sometimes daily but for more details, including prices please take a look at our sample Main Menu.
At lunchtimes there's also a selection of freshly made sandwiches to choose from and every Sunday we offer a choice of roasts served with all the trimmings, alongside a few of our traditional dishes. Please see our sample Sunday Menu for ideas.
The Yew Tree Inn Chalvington is a free house and changes its range of drinks on a regular basis whilst also mainataining a number of favourites.
We usually serve local real ale Sussex Best from Harvey's Brewery and guest beers. The pump clips above give you an idea of the kind of beers we have. Beers can change at short notice but currently we have Sussex Best, Ruddles Best and East Coast IPA.
We also offer on tap Becks Vier, Peroni, Stella, Guinness and Westons Stowford Press.
All our wines are served by the glass and by the bottle and in addition to the drinks listed above, we also offer a comprehensive range of spirits, mixers and soft drinks.
Our Christmas Party and Christmas Day menus are now available and we are taking bookings. For full details please see our Christmas page. We can easily cater for parties of up to about 50 in our wonderful light and airy conservatory. Also perfect for all other special occasions.
Outside we have 7 acres of beautiful grounds, where we have held parties, weddings, music concerts, football tournaments, cricket events, corporate events and team building days.
